I obtained my BSc. in 2017 from the Radboud University in Nijmegen. Following this, I moved to Utrecht University to pursue my interest in organometallic chemistry during my MSc. studies. I worked on low-valent nickel complexes in the group of Dr. Marc-Etienne Moret (Utrech University), and studied dimanganese complexes in the group of Dr. Aidan McDonald at Trinity College in Dublin during a 5 month stay there. After completing my MSc. in 2019, I returned to Utrecht for my PhD studies under the supervision of Dr. Danny Broere. In his group I worked on metal-metal cooperativity using dicobalt and dicopper complexes supported by 'expanded pincer' ligands. Upon finishing my PhD in 2024 I moved to Bern where I now work as a post-doc in the group of Prof. Eva Hevia on heterobimetallic cooperativity in metalate complexes. In my free time I love hiking and spending time in the mountains.
