After finishing high school in Aberdeen I moved to London for two years to work full-time as a fashion model based between London, Paris, and Milan. I then came back to Scotland in 2019 where I obtained my master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Edinburgh. During this time, I carried out an industrial placement at Veranova where I completed my master’s thesis exploring API process development and optimisation. I've always had a strong interest in main group organometallic chemistry, so in October 2024, I joined the Hevia Group to start my PhD. My research currently looks at alkali metal zincate mediated dihydrogen activation and subsequent reactivity. Outside the lab I love running and yoga (+anything sporty!), going for dinner and drinks with friends, and travelling.
